Gallery celebrates its 9th Year!

Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery celebrates its 9th year in Dallas at 3115 Routh St. On April 28, 1995 Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery opened its door with a Joel-Peter Witkin show. To celebrate this achievement the gallery will feature a group exhibit highlighting many of the artists that have been exhibited in the last 9 years.
In the last nine years Dallas has become a more sophisticated art metropolis with the addition of several new art galleries, the Nasher Sculpture Center, the new Meadows Art Museum and the centennial celebration of the Dallas Museum of Art. Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery has played a role in the Dallas art scene by exhibiting vintage and contemporary photography. These exhibitions have provided a wealth of education about the connoisseurship of collecting photography. Artists that have been profiled have dated from the 19th Century to now. Print types exhibited have included: collotype, albumen, Van Dyke, Cyanotype, platinum, photogravure, silver gelatin and C-prints.
Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery will kick off its ninth year with a party on April 30, 2004 from 6 - 8 PM.
