VITALY SMIRNOV

b. Leningrad, 1969

Vitaly received his Architecture degree from the Leningrad Construction-Engineering Institute in 1992. His serious pursuit of photography started in 2004 when participating in various photography workshops.  

He became a member of the Russian Association of Artists in 2008. Currently he works as an independent curator and photographer while living in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Solo exhibitions include The State Museum of History and the A. A. Blok Museum in St. Petersburg, The Tsarskoselskaya Collection Museum in Pushkin, the Gruzinyak Gallery, Berlin Germany, The Museum of F.M. Dostoevsky in St. Petersburg and the Black and White Gallery in St. Petersburg. Permanent collections including his work are The Russian Museum, St. Petersburg, The Tsarskoselskaya Collection Museum, Pushkin (St. Petersburg), The State Museum of History of St. Petersburg and private collections in Germany, UK and USA.
